In a historic milestone for the Nigerian tech industry, the Association of Nigerian Software Testers (ANST) has graduated its first class from a five-month intense software training program, a significant step in its continued efforts to grow world-class software quality assurance professionals on the continent.
The Lagos, Nigeria, conference had ANST, a professional non-profit group, that has been the leading force in advocating the profession of software testing in Nigeria continue its work of raising awareness about the necessity of software testing in delivering high-quality digital solutions, the association advocates for the professional rights, publicity, and continued improvement of software testers. Through policy engagement activities, training, community development, and aligned salaries, ANST continues to be a leading force of Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.
Its newly concluded training course, launched in January 2025, garnered 180 candidates to its two streams of learning the Beginner Path (Emergence Team) and the Intermediate Path. The formal, live-instruction paradigm consisted of 11 sound modules that covered key subjects such as Fundamentals of Software Testing, API Testing, Performance Testing, Web and Mobile Automation, Security Testing, Database Management, and Programming.
